Hello, I am Coach Jimin.
I am currently a freshman at Korea University majoring in Sports Business. I spent the majority of my life in Africa as a missionary kid. About seven years in Ghana, six in Kenya, and a year in the US. I had the privilege to spend my 7-12 grade in Rift Valley Academy (RVA) in Kijabe, Kenya. Over my time at RVA, I competitively played two years of rugby and varsity tennis, and three years of managing girls' soccer. My time as an athlete was cut short due to the pandemic, however, it opened doors to coaching. Recommended by my tennis coach, the school reached out and asked me to lead tennis intramurals. I (with the help of my tennis teammates) coached about ten students ranging from 7-11th grade. I was also asked to coach and referee elementary flag football. American football was what got me passionate about sports. I "specialize" in American football and tennis. During this past spring semester at Korea University, I played soccer/football for a competitive club competing against other universities. I am working towards becoming an athletic director in the hopes of serving at RVA.
As one of his ministries, my father coaches tennis, table tennis, and swimming to the youth. My brother was the starting setter for his varsity volleyball team.
Work hard. With proper dedication, you can master any skills you want!
